Overview

Fire Brigade Training will discuss the different elements of the fire safety program and will help participants identify potential fire hazards and how to inspect for fire hazards. This will also discuss the different elements of fire, the chemistry of fire and the methods to extinguish a fire when it happens, including the different fire fighting techniques and equipment used in fire fighting.

Rationale:

There is no fire proof organization and when fire inceptions happen, it is necessary for the organization to immediately extinguish the fire before it becomes destructive.The training is designed for the members of company Fire Brigade Organization. Methodologies that will be utilized are the following: series of lecture, discussion, demonstration and return-demo, video-showing, actual fire fighting using fire extinguishers and fire hose, written and practical examination will also be administered.

Objective:

  • Identify potential fire hazards and secure them to prevent the inception of fire
  • Familiarize with fire fighting tools and equipment and how to use them
  • Learn the different fire fighting techniques
  • Develop a Fire Safety Program.
